How to get there
By Air
There are regular flights connecting Mytilini airport to Athens and Thessaloniki. Charter flights operate during the holiday period (usually until the end of October) directly from several European airports.
By Sea
There are daily connections of the port of Mytilini (referred to as 'Lesvos Mytilini' when buying tickets online) to Piraeus (port of Athens) and to Kavala in northern Greece. Regular boat connections also exist to and from Ayvalik at least until the end of October.
Local Transport
There are buses at least every 30' between Mytilini centre and the University campus. The trip is 10-12' from the terminus at Plateia Sapfous (Sapfo square).
Taxis to the University campus are available at several spots in the town centre, as well as at the airport and the port. From the University campus taxis are available at the campus taxi stand or on call (Tel. 2251023500 and 2251025900).
